How is hair made of ? what is hair ?

Our hair is mad keratin. They (Keratins) are combinations of proteins and amino acid polymers. Our hairs is divided into two parts, body hair and head hair Majority of the head hair is grown in the scalp area. This is an extension of the skin. Normal strand of hair has 3 distinct layers. Medulla, cortex and cuticle. Medulla is the inner most part, cortex is the middle layer, and cuticle is the outermost part. Human Hairs grow from the hair roots.
